NBbiolab can leverage the baculovirus expression system to support the production of difficult-to-express
proteins, such as kinases, viral targets, cell surface receptors, transporters, various enzymes,
and membrane proteins.
Baculovirus-Insect Cell Expression System
With the ability to simultaneously express multiple exogenous genes, the insect cell expression system is an economical, easily scalable, and highly efficient eukaryotic expression platform. Its post-translational modifications closely resemble those of mammalian cells, including disulfide bond formation, glycosylation, and phosphorylation, making recombinant proteins structurally and functionally similar to their natural counterparts.
This system is particularly suitable for expressing proteins that may have adverse effects on mammalian host cells, such as kinases and toxic proteins. Insect cells grow in suspension, allowing for easy scale-up and efficient large-scale recombinant protein production. Additionally, it can accommodate the expression of large exogenous genes (~200 kDa) without compromising cell proliferation.
NBbiolab specializes in handling long-sequence proteins, viral proteins, kinases, intracellular proteins, and membrane proteins. Through optimized expression vectors and high-titer viral packaging technology, we achieve highly efficient protein expression.
